Talk To Him

Dear Readers,

The God we worship creates us in His image and we will look up to Him.

Zechariah 3:3-7

3 Now Joshua was dressed in filthy clothes as he stood before the angel. 4 The angel said to those who were standing before him, “Take off his filthy clothes.” Then he said to Joshua, “See, I have taken away your sin, and I will put fine garments on you.” 5 Then I said, “Put a clean turban on his head.” So they put a clean turban on his head and clothed him, while the angel of the Lord stood by. 6 The angel of the Lord gave this charge to Joshua: 7 “This is what the Lord Almighty says: ‘If you will walk in obedience to me and keep my requirements, then you will govern my house and have charge of my courts, and I will give you a place among these standing here.

- The word of the Lord came to the prophet Zechariah. We all have a job and our job is to do our best for what we are hired to do. We are called to follow the rules of the company and country. It does not mean we can't speak up but do so in what is right and good. Joshua the high priest was called to abide in God's word and command. Likewise as Christians, we are called to walk in God's ways and God's truth. To trust and obey who creates us in His image and to love Him without worries that God can be trusted and what God does are meant for good and He holds the truth.

Zechariah 5:1-4

1 I looked again, and there before me was a flying scroll. 2 He asked me, “What do you see?” I answered, “I see a flying scroll, twenty cubits long and ten cubits wide.” 3 And he said to me, “This is the curse that is going out over the whole land; for according to what it says on one side, every thief will be banished, and according to what it says on the other, everyone who swears falsely will be banished. 4 The Lord Almighty declares, ‘I will send it out, and it will enter the house of the thief and the house of anyone who swears falsely by my name. It will remain in that house and destroy it completely, both its timbers and its stones.’”

- These are the expectation of the Lord - not to thief and not to lie. As in today context, there will be punishment for wrongdoing. According to the will of God, we are blessed accordingly. We must treasure what we have and give thanks to God's blessings for all blessings come from God. We must take hard that what we do today will have consequences tomorrow. The word of God last forever. It applies yesterday, today and tomorrow. He is a living God. He is not meant only for 2000 years ago. He is for today till eternity. Generations passed but God's word last forever. He is our God. The God who is in control. If you will let God be part of your life, you will never be the same. You live according to who you are - God's child. You live with God's peace and love. You will never turn back or look back. You will treasure who you are - God's child. God will love you and be with you if you call Him.

Nobody by Casting Crowns and Matthew West

Why You ever chose me
Has always been a mystery
All my life, I've been told I belong
At the end of a line
With all the other Not-Quites
With all the Never-Get-It-Rights
But it turns out they are the ones You were looking for
All this time

Cause I'm just a nobody trying to tell everybody
All about Somebody who saved my soul
Ever since You rescued me, You gave my heart a song to sing
I'm living for the world to see nobody but Jesus
I'm living for the world to see nobody but Jesus

Moses had stage fright
And David brought a rock to a sword fight
You picked twelve outsiders nobody would've chosen
And You changed the world
Well, the moral of the story is
Everybody's got a purpose
So when I hear that devil start talking to me, saying
"Who do you think you are?" I say

I'm just a nobody trying to tell everybody
All about Somebody who saved my soul
Ever since You rescued me, You gave my heart a song to sing
I'm living for the world to see nobody but Jesus
I'm living for the world to see nobody but Jesus

So let me go down, down, down in history
As another blood-bought faithful member of the family
And if they all forget my name, well, that's fine with me
I'm living for the world to see nobody but Jesus
So let me go down, down, down in history (Go down in history)
As another blood-bought faithful member of the family
(It's all I ever wanna be) And if they all forget my name, well, that's fine with me
I'm living for the world to see nobody but Jesus, yeah

I'm just a nobody (Nobody)
Trying to tell everybody
All about Somebody
Who saved my soul (Oh, saved my, saved my soul)
Ever since You rescued me
You gave my heart a song to sing (You gave me a song to sing)
I'm living for the world to see
Nobody but Jesus (Nobody but You, Lord)
I'm living for the world to see nobody but Jesus

I'm living for the world to see nobody but Jesus

Zechariah 7:8-10, 7:11-14

8 And the word of the Lord came again to Zechariah: 9 “This is what the Lord Almighty said: ‘Administer true justice; show mercy and compassion to one another. When the truth is spoken, then there will be true justice. It applies to courtroom and the whole society wherever we are. Beside a justified ruling, God is telling us to have mercy and compassion at the same time. It is important to have wise and capable people above us be it authority in the courtroom, government office or in the workplace. 10 Do not oppress the widow or the fatherless, the foreigner or the poor. The widow who lost the husband, the head of the family, the one who partnership a family. The fatherless who lost their father who worked for the family, brought food to the family and led the family. The foreigner who needs knowledge and skills to start a new life or to survive in the new town. The poor who needs help and knowledge to build basic needs in life. Do not plot evil against each other.’ We need to educate our children to be righteous, seek peace with one another, and joy, love and compassion in life.

11 “But they refused to pay attention; stubbornly they turned their backs and covered their ears. 12 They made their hearts as hard as flint and would not listen to the law or to the words that the Lord Almighty had sent by his Spirit through the earlier prophets. So the Lord Almighty was very angry. 13 “‘When I called, they did not listen; so when they called, I would not listen,’ says the Lord Almighty. Our relationship with God is a two ways relationship. He deserves our respect, our ears and our obedience because He is our God, creator, and Father in heaven. 14 ‘I scattered them with a whirlwind among all the nations, where they were strangers. The land they left behind them was so desolate that no one traveled through it. This is how they made the pleasant land desolate.’” The Israelities learned obedience through history and relationship with God. Likewise as Christians, we learn who is God, what He wants us to do and how to be a Christian through history and relationships with God. Let us pray for wisdom to lead a righteous life, and peaceful, joyful, blessed life till God brings us to heaven.

Zechariah 8:16-19

16 These are the things you are to do: Speak the truth to each other, In any situations, speak the truth. Truth can spur one on when condition of one status is made known - the possibility of improvement in medical condition, relationship, education, employment, etc. As it is known to many, the truth can set one free. In whatever situations, it allows one to move forward, look ahead, or get things done for their situations. and render true and sound judgment in your courts; There will be peace when there is truth and true judgement. 17 do not plot evil against each other, Our lives are too busy to get things done or build relationships. Be it growing up, getting an education or job, performing in the job, dating, starting a family, etc. We need to focus on what is good be it for ourselves or society. Growing up, working hard, and leave the rest to God are how we live. and do not love to swear falsely. Jeremiah 1:5 Before I formed you in the womb I knew you. He knows what we want, where we go and what we do. I hate all this,” declares the Lord. 18 The word of the Lord Almighty came to me. 19 This is what the Lord Almighty says: “The fasts of the fourth, fifth, seventh and tenth months will become joyful and glad occasions and happy festivals for Judah. Therefore love truth and peace.” Because truth can set us free and peace comes from it and from God.

Zechariah 9:9-12

9 Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion! Shout, Daughter Jerusalem!
See, your king comes to you, righteous and victorious, For those who are weak, fear not.
lowly and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey. A humble King. A King for all people and all nations. 10 I will take away the chariots from Ephraim and the warhorses from Jerusalem,
and the battle bow will be broken. He will proclaim peace to the nations. With His presence, we have peace.
His rule will extend from sea to sea and from the River to the ends of the earth. He reigns.
11 As for you, because of the blood of my covenant with you, I will free your prisoners from the waterless pit. He gives living water. What do you thirst for? Are you emptied? Ask for Lord Jesus Christ to come into your life and you will be filled. 12 Return to your fortress, you prisoners of hope; even now I announce that I will restore twice as much to you. Do not forsake Him. Do not think twice of Him. He is God. Our Savior, our Redeemer, our King. He listens to our prayers.

- Rejoice. Before the arrival of Jesus Christ, it was announced of His coming. Sure indeed. Jesus is righteous and victorious. He brings salvation to the world that we proclaim He is our Savior, our Redeemer. He brings peace with His presence and He rules from sea to sea.

Zechariah 10:1-12

The Lord Will Care for Judah
1 Ask the Lord for rain in the springtime; it is the Lord who sends the thunderstorms.
He gives showers of rain to all people, and plants of the field to everyone.
2 The idols speak deceitfully, diviners see visions that lie;
they tell dreams that are false, they give comfort in vain.
Therefore the people wander like sheep oppressed for lack of a shepherd.
3 “My anger burns against the shepherds, and I will punish the leaders;
for the Lord Almighty will care for his flock, the people of Judah,
and make them like a proud horse in battle.
4 From Judah will come the cornerstone, He is our Lord Jesus Christ. A cornerstone but the most important part of God's kingdom. from him the tent peg, from him the battle bow, from him every ruler.
5 Together they will be like warriors in battle trampling their enemy into the mud of the streets.
They will fight because the Lord is with them, and they will put the enemy horsemen to shame.
6 “I will strengthen Judah and save the tribes of Joseph. Let the Lord knows the struggles you are going through. Ask the Lord to lead you and watch over you. Whatever you are going through, never stop praying to to Lord Jesus Christ. I will restore them because I have compassion on them.
They will be as though I had not rejected them, for I am the Lord their God and I will answer them.
7 The Ephraimites will become like warriors, and their hearts will be glad as with wine.
Never stop worshiping God. Never stop asking for God's leading, guidance and blessings.                           Their children will see it and be joyful; their hearts will rejoice in the Lord.
8 I will signal for them and gather them in. Surely I will redeem them; they will be as numerous as before.
9 Though I scatter them among the peoples, yet in distant lands they will remember me.
They and their children will survive, and they will return.
10 I will bring them back from Egypt and gather them from Assyria.
I will bring them to Gilead and Lebanon, and there will not be room enough for them.
11 They will pass through the sea of trouble; the surging sea will be subdued
and all the depths of the Nile will dry up.
Assyria’s pride will be brought down and Egypt’s scepter will pass away.
12 I will strengthen them in the Lord and in his name they will live securely,” Praise God for what He has installed for us is always meant for our good. You may not see it today but you will. Open your heart to God, bend your knees and say your prayers. Tell Him what is in your heart and ask Him to lead and bless you.

The Lord's Prayer by Jackie Evancho

Our Father which art in Heaven,
Hallowed Thy be Thy Name,
Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done,
On earth as it is in Heaven
Give us this day our daily bread,
And forgive us our debts,
As we forgive our debtors,
And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from evil.
For Thy is the Kingdom, and the power
And the glory forever
For Thy is the Kingdom and the power,
and the Glory Forever
Amen.
