God is Leading 0 to 20
- Conceive
Jeremiah 1:5 Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart.
Psalm 139:13-14 13 For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. 14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
Comments: Praise the Lord, a woman is conceived. Let the woman sings praise to the Lord. Pray to God day and night. Pray for the child's development in the mother's womb. From head to toes, let the child be nourished from the mother's food. Speak to the child day and night of God's love, word and song of praise. Read Christian bedtime stories to the child. Let your bedtime stories to the child starts from now.

- Name
Genesis 17:3-5 3 Abram fell facedown, and God said to him, 4 “As for me, this is my covenant with you: You will be the father of many nations. 5 No longer will you be called Abram; your name will be Abraham, for I have made you a father of many nations.
Matthew 1:20-21 20 an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. 21 She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.”
Comments: Give a meaningful name to your child. A name that identifies the child. A name that brings meaning to the child, to you and to your family, and pray for God's blessing.

- Baptism
Matthew 3:13, 3:16-17 13 Then Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to be baptized by John. 16 As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him. 17 And a voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.”
Matthew 28:18-20 18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Comments: It is important to baptise. To proclaim your faith in Jesus Christ. Jesus came and baptised in Matthew 3 and gained approval from the Father. What are you waiting if you have not baptised? Confirm your faith in Jesus Christ and receive the Holy Spirit.

- The Lord's Prayer
Matthew 6:9-13 ‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, 10 your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. 11 Give us today our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.’
Comments: Let this be part of our daily prayers. It does include our daily needs. God, our heavenly father is to be praised. God's will is the best for all of us who knows our wants and needs. Hence, praying for our daily bread be it God's word or food on our table. Forgive us everything we do wrong and lead us not to be tempted and deliver us from evil. We are blessed indeed that God knows our every needs. This is the best prayer to start with our children. Simple to remember and provide our daily needs from God. |
- Temptation
Matthew 4:1-10 1 Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. 2 After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. 3 The tempter came to him and said, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.” 4 Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’” 5 Then the devil took him to the holy city and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. 6 “If you are the Son of God,” he said, “throw yourself down. For it is written: “‘He will command his angels concerning you, and they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.’” 7 Jesus answered him, “It is also written: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’” 8 Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. 9 “All this I will give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and worship me.” 10 Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.’”
Comments: After Jesus was baptised, He was tempted by devil. Jesus had gone through temptations and resisted to do wrong. Likewise in our lives, we will face temptations. Matthew 4:1-10 tells us what to do when we are tempted in any situations. Jesus states in verse 4, rely on God's word. Respond in God's word when we are tempted. In verse 7, not to put God to the test but trust in God. Fully believe and trust in God that He knows our situations. Pray to God and put our faith in God to see us through our situations. And in verse 10, worship and serve God only. As it is in 1st commandment in Exodus 20:3 You shall have no other gods before Me. If we put all these into action, we will overcome temptations.

- Be encouraged and do good.
Matthew 5:3-10
3 “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 4 Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. 5 Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth. 6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. 7 Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy. 8 Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. 9 Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God. 10 Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Comments: If we are weak, be encouraged God will be with us. Pray for God to bless us with brave heart to be brave and courageous. If we are lack of faith in God, pray for a faith in God that can move mountain. Joshua 1:7-9 7 “Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. 8 Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. 9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” And seek to do good. Be righteous and have mercy. Be peacemaker and put God first. |
- Be who we are - Christians.
Matthew 5:14-16 14 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
Comments: God is the light and we are His children - the light in this world. Let us be who He wants us to be. Walk with faith and put God first, and we will see His glory in heaven when we meet God there. |
