Talk To Him

Dear Readers,

God continue His action on earth in the book of Exodus. May you enjoy your readings.

Exodus 1:15-17, 1:20-21

15 The king of Egypt said to the Hebrew midwives, whose names were Shiphrah and Puah, 16 “When you are helping the Hebrew women during childbirth on the delivery stool, if you see that the baby is a boy, kill him; but if it is a girl, let her live.” 17 The midwives, however, feared God and did not do what the king of Egypt had told them to do; they let the boys live.

20 So God was kind to the midwives and the people increased and became even more numerous. 21 And because the midwives feared God, he gave them families of their own.

- Do what is good and right, and fear God. God will provide according to your needs.

Exodus 2:23-25

23 During that long period, the king of Egypt died. The Israelites groaned in their slavery and cried out, and their cry for help because of their slavery went up to God. 24 God heard their groaning and he remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac and with Jacob. 25 So God looked on the Israelites and was concerned about them.   - This is what this website is about, talk to God in any circumstances, He is listening.

Exodus 5:19

19 The Israelite overseers realized they were in trouble when they were told, “You are not to reduce the number of bricks required of you for each day.”   - Moses and Aaron requested Pharaoh to release the Israelities for 3 days from their job, so they may offer sacrifices to the Lord. Instead of permitting it, Pharaoh increased their workload. Life is not without troubles and worries, but God will lead you out. In time of need, you must have faith and pray persistently for God's answers. It may not be what you hope for, but our God knows what is best for you. Your prayers may takes weeks, months or years. But have faith, God is listening to each and every one of our prayers. WE MUST WAIT ON THE LORD/IN HIS TIME (Arrangement: Mark Hayes) 1979 by Marantha! Music

Exodus 12:40-41, 13:19

Exodus 12:40-41

40 Now the length of time the Israelite people lived in Egypt[b] was 430 years. 41 At the end of the 430 years, to the very day, all the Lord’s divisions left Egypt.

Exodus 13:19

19 Moses took the bones of Joseph with him because Joseph had made the Israelites swear an oath. He had said, “God will surely come to your aid, and then you must carry my bones up with you from this place.”[b]   - Just as what Joseph had told Israel in Genesis 50:25, "God will surely come to your aid, and then you must carry my bones up from this place." If God could remember His oath to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, I'm sured He will remember yours.

Exodus 13:21-22

21 By day the Lord went ahead of them in a pillar of cloud to guide them on their way and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so that they could travel by day or night. 22 Neither the pillar of cloud by day nor the pillar of fire by night left its place in front of the people.   - You may had disappointed with God at times and questioned where was God, but have peace and faith, He will guide you through your situation. Put your heart and faith on God, the God who created heaven, earth, and you. He knows what is best for you. Pray without ceasing.

Exodus 14:21-22 , 14:26-27, 14:29-30

Exodus 14:21-22

21 Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and all that night the Lord drove the sea back with a strong east wind and turned it into dry land. The waters were divided, 22 and the Israelites went through the sea on dry ground, with a wall of water on their right and on their left.

Exodus 14:26-27

26 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand over the sea so that the waters may flow back over the Egyptians and their chariots and horsemen.” 27 Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and at daybreak the sea went back to its place. The Egyptians were fleeing toward[c] it, and the Lord swept them into the sea.

Exodus 14:29-30

29 But the Israelites went through the sea on dry ground, with a wall of water on their right and on their left. 30 That day the Lord saved Israel from the hands of the Egyptians.

- When God gave Moses the mission to lead the Israelities out of Egypt at Horeb the mountain of God, God had also mentioned to Moses what he would be expecting from Pharaoh and how God would use His mighty hands to bring Israelities out of Egypt. From the moment Moses and Aaron said to Pharaoh to let Israelities offer sacrifice to God, to the very moment the Lord saved the Israelities from the Egyptians, things did happen according to God's plan - Exodus 3:1 - 14:31. God has plan for all of us. I will choose God's plan. How about you?

Exodus 15:11

11 Who among the gods is like you, Lord? Who is like you—majestic in holiness, awesome in glory, working wonders?   - Yes indeed, this is our Lord Jesus Christ.

Exodus 15:25

25 Then Moses cried out to the Lord, and the Lord showed him a piece of wood. He threw it into the water, and the water became fit to drink. - Moses cried out to the Lord and the Lord answered his prayer.

Exodus 16:3, 16:11-12

The Israelites said to them, “If only we had died by the Lord’s hand in Egypt! There we sat around pots of meat and ate all the food we wanted, but you have brought us out into this desert to starve this entire assembly to death.”

11 The Lord said to Moses, 12 “I have heard the grumbling of the Israelites. Tell them, ‘At twilight you will eat meat, and in the morning you will be filled with bread. Then you will know that I am the Lord your God.’”

- The Lord heard the Israelities and gave them meat and bread.

Exodus 16:16

16 This is what the Lord has commanded: ‘Everyone is to gather as much as they need. Take an omer[a] for each person you have in your tent.’” - The Lord wants our obedience and order in the church.

Exodus 18:19-23

19 Listen now to me and I will give you some advice, and may God be with you. You must be the people’s representative before God and bring their disputes to him. 20 Teach them his decrees and instructions, and show them the way they are to live and how they are to behave. 21 But select capable men from all the people—men who fear God, trustworthy men who hate dishonest gain—and appoint them as officials over thousands, hundreds, fifties and tens. 22 Have them serve as judges for the people at all times, but have them bring every difficult case to you; the simple cases they can decide themselves. That will make your load lighter, because they will share it with you. 23 If you do this and God so commands, you will be able to stand the strain, and all these people will go home satisfied.”   - Our juridical system. In everything you would like to do, ask for God's blessing and if God commands, He will be with you.

Exodus 18:20

Exodus 20:3

“You shall have no other gods before[a] me.   - Do you go to church on Sunday or you prefer to hang out with your friends? Will you stop doing things that will not please God or you would continue to satisfy your wants?

Exodus 20:4-6

“You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God.   - Love the Lord with all your heart, with all your mind, with all your strength. Believe and worship the Lord your God, put Exodus 20:3-4 into action.

Exodus 20:20

20 Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid. God has come to test you, so that the fear of God will be with you to keep you from sinning.”   - Do you fear God? If you lead a life that pleases God, He can be your dad, your uncle, your friend, your brother.

Exodus 31:1-3, 31:6

Exodus 31:1-3

1Then the Lord said to Moses, “See, I have chosen Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, with understanding, with knowledge and with all kinds of skills.

Exodus 31:6

Moreover, I have appointed Oholiab son of Ahisamak, of the tribe of Dan, to help him. Also I have given ability to all the skilled workers to make everything I have commanded you:

- The Lord will bless the person the skills with which s/he is told to do His work.

Exodus 33:11

11 The Lord would speak to Moses face to face, as one speaks to a friend.   - When you pray to Jesus, do not be afraid to tell Jesus how you feel and what you would like Jesus to help you. He will listen to your prayers. He cares and concerns for you.

Exodus 33:18-19

18 Then Moses said, “Now show me your glory.” 19 And the Lord said, “I will cause all my goodness to pass in front of you, and I will proclaim my name, the Lord, in your presence. I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.   - Have you ever wondered why you are not the lucky one or why you are not blessed with this or that? Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. He has our future. Just put your faith in Him and follow His ways.

Exodus 35:21

21 and everyone who was willing and whose heart moved them came and brought an offering to the Lord for the work on the tent of meeting, for all its service, and for the sacred garments.   - The history of offering to the Lord started way from Moses time. Because people were willing and their hearts were moved to give, churches were built, and we are blessed in many ways. Let's continue to offer to the Lord willingly and wholeheartedly.
